Within the framework of the Festival of Ideas, an institution established by Ayia Napa 2030, a candidate for European Capital of Culture with the aim, through a series of events, to highlight and promote, among other things, the strengthening of Human Rights, freedom and Democracy, the program will not could be missing a special tribute to the great composer and Mikis Theodorakis, the man who, through his musical work and his public life, fought for his ideas, human rights and universal values.
The tribute includes three unique seminars entitled "The Global Mikis Theodorakis" by Mikis Theodorakis' biographer, journalist and author Mr. George Logothetis and the "Symphony of Freedom" concert.
The seminars will take place in the Municipal Apartments of the Municipality of Agia Napa, Liopetri, Avgorou and Agia Napa. Specifically, Part A will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Cultural Center of Ayia Napa "Giorgos Seferis" at 19:00, Part B at the Ethnographic Museum of Avgoros, on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 19:00 and Part C ΄ in the Hall of Art and Culture at the Municipal Hall of Liopetriou, on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 19:00.
Mr. Logothetis will take the attendees on a journey through the pages of his book, but also through a series of sensational documentaries which will be screened one at each lecture, into the history and work of the great Mikis Theodorakis. Friendly participation of the internationally recognized Stavros Sideras.

The concert "Symphony of Freedom - The Universal Mikis Theodorakis" will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Municipal Museum of Ayia Napa - THALASSA at 19:00
The artists Stelios Konstantas, Niki Karaiskou and Avra Aresti are participating, who will perform favorite hits of Mikis Theodorakis and promise to offer the attendees an evening full of emotion and inspiration. The artists will be accompanied by the well-known Cypriot composer Giorgos Payatis, with the friendly participation of the internationally recognized Stavros Sideras.
