Countdown to the 3rd Limassol International Book Fair

After the first two successful events, the Limassol International Book Fair returns again this year renewed at all levels with:

The Fair is back in full force, having set up a rich program for both industry professionals and readers, who can visit the Fair grounds and choose from thousands of book titles and dozens of events on various topics.

On Friday, November 22, the Exhibition begins with Limassol International Book Fair Conference, which this year will host, among others, the Deputy Minister of Culture. Dr. Lina Kassianidou will participate in a discussion about the Cyprus Library, which is planned to be relocated and reorganized. 31 speakers from Cyprus, Greece, Europe and the Arab world will meet this year at the all-day international professional conference and discuss local, regional and international challenges and opportunities.

On Saturday, November 23, the General Exhibition begins with the opening, which will be celebrated by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis. Greetings will be addressed by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr. Kassianidou and the Mayor of Limassol Mr. Armevtis. Then, and for the entire weekend of November 23-24, book lovers will have the opportunity to walk among 112 exhibitors from Cyprus, Greece, Russia, Ukraine and the Arab world and choose between thousands of new titles in Greek, English , Russian and other languages.

On-stage talks by professionals in the book industry on current issues concerning the industry, a space for meetings between professionals, interviews with prominent authors from Cyprus and abroad, panel discussions, special features, workshops, book presentations and other interactive events centered on the book , are what one will meet at this year's event.

This year's Fair will host over 120 writers and speakers, who will be on 5 stages and tackle a variety of topics: translation, film and literature, artificial intelligence, copyright, gender-based violence, digital security, books and sports, talks on parents and teachers, tributes to poetry set to music, to Nobel laureate poet Giorgos Seferis and his relationship with Cyprus, to the invasion of '74 and more.

The Children's and Youth Stage will have its due again this year with a full program, which contains interactive book presentations, storytelling in foreign languages, the 2nd Book Marathon, interesting workshops and competitions and discussions aimed at strengthening the love of reading and developing critical thinking through dialogue and reading.

The Fair continues for the 3rd year and the Limassol International Book Fair Awards and this year's award goes to the author and president of the Cyprus Children's Book Association (CYPRUS IBBY), Elena Perikleous.

Some of the authors who will be on the 5 stages of the Exhibition are: Isidoros Zourgos, Emilios Solomou, Achilleas Kyriakidis, Lina Nikolakopoulou, Stefanos Dandolos, Stefanos Xenakis, Argyro Pipini, Louis-Philippe Dalembert, Akis Papantonis, Nasia Dionysiou, Desmond Egan, Mehmet Yashin, Despina Pyrketti, Constantia Sotiriou, Maria Hilmer, Achilleas Emilianidis, Sofia Panidou, Andri Antoniou, Elena Perikleous, Dimitra Charalambous, Pelio Papadia, Marios Mazaris, Chrysos Lefou. The journalists Christos Michalaros, Yiannis Baskozos, Manolis Pimplis, Eleni Xenou, Giorgos Savvinidis, Katia Savva, Apostolos Kouroupakis, Eftychia Andreou and others also participate in the Exhibition.
