The practical seminar "EPALE: The European Platform for Adult Education - Opportunities, Tools and Partnerships for All" completes the actions of the month of December within the framework of the "Open Lifelong Learning for All" program, implemented by the Open School of the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
EPALE (Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe) is the European Commission's official digital platform for adult education and operates as the largest multilingual community of professionals in this field.
The seminar is aimed at educators, parents, professionals, institutions and any adult who wishes to learn about and exploit the possibilities of the platform. Participants will learn how to search for and share educational materials, research, articles and good practices, participate in European learning actions (seminars, workshops and discussions with professionals from all over Europe) and create collaborative networks through communities of practice. In addition, they will learn about the thematic focuses of EPALE 2025 such as Artificial Intelligence in Learning, Key Competencies and Developing Skills for the Future.
The “EPALE” seminar will also have a practical nature, as participants, in the form of a workshop, will be guided in creating a personal account on the platform and in publishing or sharing material with other users. The aim is to acquire the necessary knowledge and tools to utilize EPALE for their own personal and professional development, while strengthening the culture of lifelong learning in the local community. The program is co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus and supported by the EPALE National Support Service Cyprus.
The workshop speaker is Ms. Panagiota Constanti, Senior Project Manager and EPALE Cyprus Coordinator for the Social Innovation Center.
The workshop will be held:
• Tuesday, December 16, at the Achna Forest Primary School "Fotis Pittas", at 18:30 PM
• Wednesday, December 17, at the "Georgos Seferis" Cultural Center in Ayia Napa, at 18:30 PM
