Pink Full Moon 2025: When will we see the impressive moon?

Where did it get its name from

The April 2025 Full Moon is expected to be dressed in soft pink hues, perfectly living up to the nickname "Easter Moon."

With the arrival of April, the excitement for Easter and the long-awaited days of rest begins to peak. And if the weather has not yet fully harmonized with the spring mood, the night sky comes to compensate, giving us a magical moon with pink pastel shades that capture the eye.

This year's "pink moon" stands out from previous full moons — and for skywatchers, it is undoubtedly one of the most impressive spectacles of the year.

How did the "Pink Full Moon" get its name?
This particular full moon was known to Native Americans as the "Pink Moon" because it marked the appearance of a plant with pink flowers, one of the first of spring.

It is noted that the moon tonight will be slightly larger and brighter than usual, but it will definitely not be... pink in color.

It is also worth noting that the April full moon has other names such as:

The Moon that breaks the ice
The Moon of plants and shrubs
The Moon where the currents are once again buoyant
The Moon appearing in the red grass
The Frog Moon
