PAOK lead at the end of the first half

The match was a derby from the first minutes, with the "duels" of the players being very strong. PAOK had the initiative of the movements, but could not threaten in a normal flow of play. His first final match came in the 15th minute. Schwab headed in from the right, but Tyson's header went wide.

In the second chance of the match, PAOK opened the scoring. Zivkovic stole the ball from Moron in the midfield, the Serb made a fine cross, and Brandon Thomas slotted home the move to make it 1-0.

From that point Ares reacted and started creating some finals. In the 41st minute, Saverio took the shot, the ball was countered and ended up in the arms of Kotarski, while shortly after a free kick towards the PAOK area, Moron took the header back, Suleymanov found the ball at the second post, but missed .

The second half was very different, with Aris coming in very strongly and immediately reaching the equaliser. Only in the 47th minute, Moses Odubajo crossed and Moron's impressive return shot made it 1-1, causing an outburst of joy in Harilao and New Philadelphia for the Spaniard's 20th Super League goal that brought the championship to AEK.

The joy, however, lasted a few minutes on the "yellow" side. From a terrific action by Yannis Konstantelias who passed Odumbatzos, Tyson beat Questa with a shot for 1-2, sending the trophy back to Toumba.

Red for Michaelidis and a "thriller" for the championship

From Suleimanov's free kick, Fabiano missed in the 71st minute, while six minutes later the visitors were left with one player less due to the dismissal of Michaelidis with a second yellow card. PAOK retreated and then the hosts found the spaces to create danger in Kotarski's goal.

A shot by Alvaro Zamora from a difficult position went wide (89′), while in the fifth minute of stoppage time, Karim Ansarifard wasted a terrible opportunity to equalize with a header from the small area, and send the title to AEK.

1-2 remained until the end, PAOK won the title for the fourth time in its history and the first since 2019, ensuring its presence in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers. This was also the second championship title for Razvan Lucescu in our country.

Aris, on the other hand, will face Panathinaikos next Saturday (25/5, 20:30 – Panthessaliko Stadium), with the team that wins the Cup securing their exit to Europe, after the 2-2 of the "greens" with Olympiakos who left them in fourth place.
