Greek champion Stefanos Tsitsipas achieved a great victory last night against the Russian Andrei Rublev in the context of the 2nd match of the Nitto ATP Finals, making it 1-1 in Group London 2020.

Tsitsipas prevailed with a 2-1 set by Rublev and after his defeat in the premiere by Dominic Tim, he needs a victory against Rafael Nadal in the last match to qualify for the semifinals.

Yesterday, Stefanos Tsitsipas made a great appearance for one set, the first, he fought hard afterwards and in the end he won 2-1 sets. In the first set, Tsitsipas prevailed 6-1 after 19 minutes, but the Russian managed to equalize by winning the next 6-4.
The two tennis players went point-to-point in the third set (6-6). Tsitsipas led 5-2 in the tiebreak but conceded a 4-0 run, which he did not pay, as with three unanswered points he reached 8-6 and the victory.

The 22-year-old champion will qualify with a victory over Rafa Nadal in the last match, with any score, as the Spaniard lost to Dominic Tim in the previous match and already counts two defeats.

"I have to be more focused, to be more there when I have to be," Stefanos Tsitsipas said in a press conference after yesterday's match.

Regarding the match with Nadal, he said: "I will try to play attacking tennis, you can not play defensively with Rafa. You have to try to play, to put pressure, to serve well. It's part of the game I want to play against Rafa. I think everyone should play this way. I just have to be consistent. I have to be more consistent than him to win. I know this. "I have to start strong and finish even stronger."
