Shooting champion Panagiota Andreou won two bronze medals at the Pan-European Olympic Skeet Championship, which was held in Lonato, Italy.
In a post, the SKOEPA-Shooting Club Famagusta wrote "the Champion of our heart, Panagiota Andreou, with an excellent appearance and a result of 119 successes in the 125 discs of the regular duration of the competition, in the Pan-European Olympic Skeet Championship, which has been held in Lonato, Italy , managed to tie with her other 8 teammates, in the 3rd place of the event, thus claiming her participation, with a sudden death match, in the final six, where she would hand out the last qualification card for the upcoming Olympic Games.
However, her result in the shoot off did not give her the opportunity to realize another dream of hers.
But she did not give up and the next day, in the women's "Trio" race, together with her two other teammates, with a score of 6-2, they won the 3rd place and thus won the Bronze Medal for our Cyprus.
And as if that wasn't enough, with 349 hits in 375 discs, she, along with two other teammates, climbed to 3rd place in the Women's Team standings, thus winning her 2nd Bronze Medal!
So for the record, Cyprus has one Gold and 3 Bronze Medals in this event, of which our Champion had a leading role in 2 of them".
