Since the introduction of its first generation in 1995, the Honda CR-V has become a global best-seller in the SUV category, offering countless sales and award piles at the Japanese factory. Its recent renewal makes it among the protagonists of the category with unique features, a range of advanced technologies but also larger dimensions compared to its predecessor.

The new Honda CR-V retains its familiar silhouette by offering more modern and at the same time dynamic elements. The larger wheel arches, the sharper curves on the hood and the different rear side panels stand out. The show is stolen by the LED lights that embrace the corners of the body and are presented as an extension of the central grille of the car. The main difference is the increase in wheelbase by 30mm, which creates more space inside, but makes the SUV more muscular, with the wheels mounted on the edges of the body. It should be mentioned that the front air duct has the Honda Active Shutter Grille system to improve consumption.

The system is programmed to keep the grilles closed as much as possible, even when driving in the city, for improved aerodynamic performance. Customers can choose from eight exterior body shades and three different rim dimensions (17, 18 and 19 inches), depending on the equipment, while the top versions will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, standard. The slightly larger exterior dimensions of the new CR-V, the longer wheelbase and the wider width offer significantly more interior space. A space characterized by ergonomics, build quality and a plethora of top comfort and safety technologies, while offering for the first time an optional seven-seater layout for petrol-powered AWD models.

In front of the driver there is now only a 7-inch center touch screen visible through the steering wheel while the layout of the controls has also been simplified with Honda Connect second generation software in the new CR-V offering upgraded, intuitive operation and full smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Optimal space utilization is underlined by the spaciousness it offers to all passengers, and by the wider, deeper luggage compartment with a larger loading area. A new two-seater luggage compartment floor creates a flat surface for longer items, while a hands-free electric tailgate facilitates access for loading.

The new CR-V will be equipped with Honda's new 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo petrol engine with 193 hp and 243 Nm of torque (200-5000 rpm) and will be offered with a CVT automatic transmission. An engine that offers an impressive combination of power and performance including numerous technologies to achieve optimum driveability and performance. It should be mentioned that a hybrid CR-V is added to the range for the first time in the history of the model. It will have an i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) engine system that includes an electric motor, a 2.0L i-VTEC Atkinson cycle four-cylinder petrol engine for electricity and traction, and an independent electric-generator.
