In order to offer visitors experiential experiences but also to promote the Cypriot Folk Culture, the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Municipality of Ayia Napa organizes at the Folklore Museum of Ayia Napa "Farmhouse" free workshops of traditional knife making, basket weaving and traditional tying.
The workshops will be held on the weekends from June 26 to September 03, 2022 (two workshops per day) from 18: 30-19: 30 and 20: 00-21: 00. During the workshops the Municipality of Ayia Napa will offer to coffee and wine attendees and watching a traditional music and dance program by well-known Cypriot bands.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettou, on the occasion of the opening of the workshops on Sunday, June 26, stated that after the complete renovation that the Municipality recently carried out in the "Farmhouse" turning it into a Folklore Museum, it aimed to make the best use of it. .
The conduct of the free workshops added by the Ministry of Tourism fulfills this goal as it will give the opportunity to the visitors to build their own traditional construction and to experience unique authentic experiences.
