Tonight at 20:30 in the A 'Primary School of Avgorou, the theatrical performance of Iakovos Kampanelis by the theatrical group Create "The Neighborhood of Angels" will take place.
Performances will be given on July 9 at the Municipal Garden Theater of Sotira and on July 16 at the Amphitheater of the Municipality of Lakatamia.
"The Neighborhood of Angels"
The neighborhood of Angels could be any Greek neighborhood in the 60's, with joys, songs and poverty. It is a neighborhood on the margins, where money does not count, only dignity. Love nestled in the neighborhood, but the relationship between Xenia and Andreas brought to the surface weaknesses and passions that were well hidden in the souls of the neighbors. Two different worlds came together under the light of an oil lamp. Eventually in the neighborhood of angels it is difficult to enter and no one knows what can be sacrificed for her.
The theatrical group "Create"
The theatrical group "Create" was founded in 2013 in the village of Avgorou. Since its inception, the group has been of a charitable nature. Despite its short period of activity, it already includes the organization of important theatrical performances and events. Vassilis Michailidis' "Romiosini in the race of the world", Euripides' tragedy "Phoenix", Aristophanes' ancient comedy "Wealth", Bertolt Brecht's "Courage" and Victor Ou's "The Miserables" are some one of the most important cultural events of the group.
The group represented Cyprus at the 6th and 7th Amateur Theater Festival in Distomo Greece in 2016 and 2017, receiving significant distinctions and awards.
Performances will be given on July 9 at the Municipal Garden Theater of Sotira and on July 16 at the Amphitheater of the Municipality of Lakatamia.
Admission is 5 euros while for children under 12 years is free.
