The New Business Activity Promotion Plan

The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry announces the 2nd Announcement of the New Business Activity Promotion Plan, with a total Budget of €20 million.

The Plan is included in the "THALEIA" Program 2021-2027 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund+ (ESF+) of the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus.

It aims to develop, support and promote entrepreneurship, emphasizing special population groups, such as young people and women, who wish to be entrepreneurial in any economic activity, making use of their knowledge, experiences, training and talents.

The exempted activities are listed in Appendix I of the Plan Guide.

The intensity of the sponsorship amounts to 70% for young men and women aged 18-29 years, while for men aged 30-50 and women aged 30-55 the intensity will amount to 60%. The sponsorship is calculated on the cost of the eligible costs of the investment (Equipment, Special Facilities, Buildings - construction, purchase, renovation-design of spaces-, Promotion-Promotion and Other Expenses), with a maximum eligible Budget per company of €120.000.

Those interested can obtain the Plan Guide, which contains all the details, the List of Documents, as well as other required forms or documents from the website of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, specifically from the website of Industry and Technology Service.

It is noted that the applications/proposals from the Beneficiaries will only be submitted through the electronic System of Sponsorship Plans of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, in a specific period of time that will be determined in the relevant Call for Proposals, which will be announced in the next period.
