With more than ten new recipes, the Municipality of Sotiras organizes this year for another year the biggest celebration of Cypriot gastronomy.
The new recipes that the distinguished chefs will present to us include spring rolls, cakes and even donuts based on courgette.
Among the chefs, well-known and distinguished and award-winning chefs, such as the executive chef of Sunrise hotels, Antonis Attounis, the team of the Olympic Lagoon hotel in Ayia Napa, the confectioner Maria Potamou of Anonymous Hotel, the food bloggers "The Fella Twins" but also the chef Christos Christodoulou, known for his presence on television.
The 3rd Kolokassi Tasting Night, will open its gates on Friday, September 7 from 7 pm at the beach restaurant of the Municipality of Sotira on the beach of Agia Thekla in Sotira.
Visitors will have the opportunity to try traditional and more than ten new gourmet recipes based on the local product of Sotira which is the first Cypriot product which has been registered by the European Union as a Product with a Designation of Origin.
Distinguished chefs will be at the gastronomic festival presenting their own uniquely inspired recipes with one of the most important traditional products of our place, giving the opportunity to local and foreign visitors to taste special recipes.
It is worth noting that in 2016 Kolokasi Sotiras was awarded the "Gourmet" Awards as the Best Agricultural Product while in 2017 it was awarded "Cypriot Product of the Year" at the Time Out Cyprus Eating Awards.
The artistic program will adorn the Michael Messios Jazz Quartet.
