The lecture-concert with the researcher and performer of the Cypriot music tradition Michalis Hatzimichael entitled "The Voices of the Cypriot Music Tradition" took place with great success on the night of Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Municipal Theater Sotiras.
Michalis Hadjimichael presented initial examples and main characteristics from the voices of the Cypriot music tradition, such as Afkoritiki, Pafitiki, Karpasitissa and Hitzikonstantinati who, as he mentioned, traces its roots to Sotira.
This was followed by a concert with the musical group of Michalis Hadjimichael and love couplets by folk poets from the province of Famagusta.
