SOTIRA: On Sunday, the National Memorial of Heroes

The Municipality of Sotira and the Committee of Relatives of the Fallen and Missing Savior invite you to the annual religious memorial of the Fallen Heroes and to the Prayer to determine the fate of the Missing Savior during the Turkish Invasion of 1974 which will take place on Sunday, August 2 at 2020: 9 a.m. at the Holy Temple of the Resurrection in Sotira.

A commemorative speech will be delivered by the Deputy Parliamentary Representative of DISY and Member of Parliament for Famagusta, Mr. Onoufrios Koullas.

The Government will be represented by the Director General of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, Dr. Stelios D. Heimonas.

Wreath-laying and Trisagio will follow at the new Monument of the Fallen and Missing Savior (near the EOKA Memorial Museum 1955-59) at 9:30 a.m. and a short artistic program by the Municipal Choir Sotira.

It will be preceded by a Memorial March by Reserve Paratroopers Sotira at 7:30 a.m. from Agia Thekla to the Monument of the Fallen and Missing.

Instead of wreaths, contributions will be made to the Committee of Relatives of the Fallen and Missing Savior.
