The health condition of the former President of the Republic, Dimitris Christofias, remains stable, but critical, according to a newer medical announcement.
According to the medical announcement, during a meeting of the team of his treating doctors, the results of the medical examinations carried out on Mr. Christofias were evaluated so far.
According to the medical announcement, a Doctor of Infectious Diseases was called from abroad, who, in collaboration with the team of treating doctors of the General Hospital of Nicosia, will determine the next steps for the treatment of the patient.

"The former President of the Republic, Mr. Dimitris Christofias, has been hospitalized since yesterday, May 20, 2019, in the Intensive Care Unit of the General Hospital of Nicosia, due to a significant respiratory burden. His state of health is stable, but he remains critical.
During a meeting of the team of his treating physicians, the results of the medical examinations performed on Mr. Christofias were evaluated so far.
It is noted that with the actions of the Director General of the Ministry of Health, a Doctor of Infectious Diseases is invited from abroad, who, in collaboration with the team of treating doctors of the General Hospital of Nicosia will determine the next steps for the treatment of the patient.
The Minister of Health Mr. Konstantinos Ioannou is in constant contact with the treating doctors and for any development in the patient's health condition, the Ministry of Health will inform about a new announcement ".
