Our unfortunate angel was treated intubated and we, all we could do was pray. We hoped that the miracle that we had been waiting for so long would happen, but unfortunately…
Our baby could not stand it, Angelos "left" next to God. It was not at all easy for us to overcome it. We tried very hard and 2 years later, we decided to try again. I gave birth to a very healthy baby, a baby boy. We were sure that this time, nothing bad would happen.

When she was 2 months old, she had exactly the same symptoms as our first baby. This time no tracheostomy was performed, it remained in the ventilator for up to 7 και months and then "left".
It is impossible for us to describe to you the pain and sorrow we felt. For us then all our hope, all our dreams were lost and we decide never to try again, not to have another child.
Fortunately, in our lives, in addition to our parents, he was also our spiritual father. If it were not for him, we do not know if we would ever be able to stand on our own two feet again. He was the one who suggested we adopt 2 babies and it was really a great idea.
Certainly the issue of adoption is very delicate and unfortunately the adoption process in Cyprus is very time consuming. But we had promised ourselves that we would wait, we would not bend, we would not be disappointed.
At some point we did it…
We were about to travel to Russia, they were waiting for us in an orphanage when we were informed that there were 2 twin girls in Makareio who were looking for adoptive parents. We were also told that the babies were different in color. But we had told them from the beginning that color, race, did not matter to us. All we wanted was to hold a baby in our arms again. To feel again what it is like to be a parent…
We immediately answered in the office: "The babies are ours !!!" and they told us, "But you must see them first." We had gone crazy from our joy, it was as if the sky opened and our house was filled with stars and Angels.
Today, 12 years later…
We have 2 brilliant daughters who only give us happiness and honestly, no one ever cared about their color. They are beautiful and only with their smile, they immediately win the love of those around them.
We happened to meet people several times who adopted children and were ashamed to say so. We explained to them that they should be proud and not ashamed because it does not matter who gives birth to a baby but who raises it with care and love and then it is definitely worth listening to "mom" and "dad".
We lost 2 babies and with God's help, we gained again. This is the most beautiful thing in our life !!!. We are a happy family and we wish the same to all couples in the world who happened to experience similar situations.
