The Fall of Constantinople by the Ottomans, which occurred on this day in 1453, is being represented by Artificial Intelligence on an Instagram channel.

The Fall of Constantinople had world-historical consequences for Hellenism, Christianity and the Western world in general. The siege lasted from April 6 to Tuesday, May 29, 1453 (Julian calendar). This fall of Constantinople also marked the end of the over-thousand-year-old Western Roman (or Byzantine according to Westerners) Empire.

Despite the bravery of Constantine XI Palaiologos, the overwhelmingly superior Ottoman army, led by Sultan Mehmed II, finally managed to capture Constantinople.
