After all, in this way he managed to get into politics. Having previously shown her breasts on the "air" of the RAI television station: it was the first time in the history of Italian television that something similar was happening! And her bare breasts were the "weapon" in her political quiver for a career in the Italian parliament.
The failed attempt at a turning point in her career
In the early 70's, Ilona Staller "introduced" herself to the porn industry, while in 1973 she acquired her own radio show with the provocative title and content "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?" at Radio Luna radio station. It is a huge success, while for the needs of the program it adopts the nickname "Tsitsiolina" with which it will become known to the ends of the world.
In 1975, she decided to use her real name as a protagonist in porn movies, in which she was also very successful. And while she knows the apotheosis professionally, Ilona Staller begins to have political aspirations, wanting to make a turn in her career.
And that turn came in 1979, when she was nominated as the candidate of the first Italian "green" party Lista del Sole (The list of the sun). As she had revealed, five years earlier she had founded her own party, called "The Party of the Sun". She was in charge of the ballot and second was the actor, Giorgio Albertaci. But unfortunately for her and her associates, the party was excluded from the television networks and thus failed to last long in the political development of the country.
After failing to make the coveted turn in her career, Chiciolina continues to star in sensual films and becomes the most famous and well-sung porn star, with her fame surpassing the borders of Italy. A porn star in the Radical Party of Italy
In 1985 he joined the Radical Party, in a collaboration that came as a great surprise. And of course there were reactions, as many stood by the radicals' decision to include porn star Ilona Staller on their ballot. However, for Marco Panela, who was a symbol of the Radical Party (Partito Radicale), Chiciolina's participation in the ballot was a "challenge" but also a representative example to show the moral corruption of democracy at that time.

The Italians turned their backs on her
As a member of parliament, Ciciolina had launched an anti-nuclear campaign and was targeted by Reagan and Gorbachev, whom she said should spend money on research into the AIDS drug and not on weapons. However, her solemn entry into Parliament in 1987 was followed by an inglorious exit 4 years later.
Italian voters ostentatiously turned their backs on her in the 1991 elections, with Chiciolina gaining just 1%. In 1990, shortly before the Gulf War broke out, Chiciolina made an incredible proposal to the common people, not something terribly possible for her if one considers that until a few years ago she had stated that she had slept with 1000 men. She offered her body to Saddam Hussein for peace in the Middle East.
The "self-sacrifice" of the Italian porn star, but also a bulletin, fell on deaf ears, as the Iraqi leader never answered her. He failed, however, to gather the necessary support for an independent candidacy. In 2013 it "struck again" in the Italian municipal elections with her own party, the famous DNA (Democrazia Natura Amore / Democracy, Nature, Love) which she founded with her partner and lawyer, Luca di Carlo, claiming the city hall of Rome.
