The steps that will be followed in order to remove the lockdown

The model applied for the final lifting of capital controls in our country will be applied for the lifting of the restrictions imposed by the government in the context of stopping the pandemic coronavirus in our country.

This means we will not wake up one fine morning and we will be told that we are all returning to the normalcy we lived before the beginning of March. This will be done gradually and methodically.

Already some first relevant discussions have taken place during the teleconferences held by the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the Maximos Palace with the head of the team of scientists, professor of pathology Sotiris Tsiodras, the political leadership of the Ministry of Health and the Civil Protection, still. After all, relevant dates that will be removed every step obviously and can not yet exist since everything will depend on three factors:

If, for example, we see that some stores reopen and after 15 days the number of patients rises again, then we will return to the previous step. This is also one of the reasons why we can not now have specific dates for each stage of unlocking the lockdown.

That is why the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias, stigmatized various fake news that are spread in some media about a so-called plan for removal meters with various dates, "but which came out of the imagination of the one who wrote it, as he said. This is completely non-existent, unfounded and dangerous news. They would not even deserve comment if the days we are experiencing were not so critical. "Let some people stop playing to the detriment of the citizens and their patience." He even reminded the legal provisions on the dissemination of false news.

As an official of the Ministry of Health who participates in the meetings used to tell us, "neither the Prime Minister, nor Mr. Tsiodras, nor anyone else knows the dates because, quite simply, they do not exist yet. We just hope that if we continue to follow the positive scenario for its course Covid-19 in Greece, as it has been recorded so far, then from May more serious conversations can take place for a first relaxation of the restrictive measures ".

We simply remind that the Medical School of the University of Washington has created a series of prediction models for the victims of the coronavirus in each country. the day when no loss of human life from the disease will be recorded, since something like this is set for May 21th.

In the first phase, however, the are expected to be removed traffic restrictions of the inhabitants living on islands that have not been infected by the coronavirus all this time, that is, they have not registered a single victim. Fortunately these are enough. Partially the same tactic will be followed in other areas (eg the prefecture of Grevena has no cases), with Attica being in the last position of removal, since there we have most cases - logical since it hosts more than half Greece in population.

At a reasonable time, professional divisions will be announced, again in parts, that can be reactivated with an emphasis on those who have the least risks (eg by their nature do not accept customer visits) and are at the same time important for the restart of the economy. . As far as the stores are concerned, the operation of the small ones, up to 250 square meters, which will not accept more than two customers at a time, will start first. This means that malls will take a long time to open.

At some point in the summer, cafes and restaurants will reopen, but again with restrictions on the distance between the tables and of course only outdoors. Of course, in this we are expected to have an ally in good weather anyway.

For the school units, no one still knows for sure what will happen. The main concern of the Ministry of Education for the children of the XNUMXrd Lyceum who will have to take national exams while the rest, if approved by epidemiologists are expected to return to school in June and will attend classes until the end of July. Otherwise the school year for them will end prematurely.

In the next phase, the restoration of public transport will be attempted. The buses will gradually increase their routes, the airlines will start first with domestic flights and then with flights from abroad (probably first from countries that were not particularly affected by the coronavirus) and of course at airports and ports there will be thermometers of passengers.

At the same time we should forget this summer the concerts and all kinds of sports activities with fans, while the gatherings will be limited, e.g. of 20, 30 or 40 people. The truth, however, is that we will not return to full normalcy until the right medicine or coronavirus vaccine is found. Until then, hugs, kisses and handshakes will be done very sparingly.
