Lady Gaga has announced that she is canceling the last ten appearances of the European part of her world tour due to "strong pains".

In an announcement on Twitter, the pop star apologized to her fans, saying she was "devastated" for this development, but "I have to put myself and my health first," she explained.

Lady Gaga has previously revealed that she suffers from fibromyalgia, a disease that causes chronic, diffuse pain throughout the body.

In her announcement, the singer points out that she made "this tough decision" on Friday night "with the strong support of my medical team".

"I am so devastated and do not know how to describe it," Lady Gaga wrote. "All I know is that if I do not, I will not honor the lyrics and the meaning of my songs."

The European leg of Joanne's World Tour had been rescheduled due to her illness.
