The new online communication service Live Chat was launched at number 1450, offering citizens another channel of direct and effective service for issues concerning the Welfare Benefits Management Service (YDEP) of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare and the Social Insurance Services (YKA) of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance.
A statement from the Deputy Ministry states that "the Live Chat service, which was developed and operates in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, serves general questions regarding the procedures of the Ministry of Education and Research and the Public Service Commissions, and provides information on the progress of requests and applications concerning these Services."
The service is provided in Greek and English and is available through the official websites of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance: https://www.gov.cy/mlsi and the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare: https://www.gov.cy/dmsw
As added in the announcement, with the Live Chat function, citizens will be able to receive immediate information easily, quickly and with complete transparency, reducing inconvenience and waiting times.
Service center officers will be able to provide personalized answers in real time for all relevant issues, resulting in a substantial enhancement of the efficiency and quality of service to citizens.
Also, with Live Chat, the services implement the goal of more modern, accessible and effective communication with the citizen by utilizing the useful tools offered by technology.
The 1450 contact center operates from Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, as a single point of information for all issues concerning the benefits and benefits of the two services.
