A new testimony about the traffic accident in Kolonaki when a Bentley car ran over Konstantinos Argyrou's partner, Alexandra Nika, was presented on Monday morning by ANT1.
According to the woman who saw what happened at the intersection of Patriarch Joachim and Lukianou on Sunday afternoon, "if he hadn't braked, he would have killed the woman."
"So she hears the braking and turns (ed. Alexandra Nika). As she goes to turn right (ed. the Bentley driver), she takes the turn wide and the woman with the braking that she hears and turns, that's why she hit her sideways and in front," the eyewitness continued.
"I heard a noise, a sudden braking. I see a car that was logically going up Patriarchou Ioakeim Street turning right onto Lukianou Street. Suddenly I see a lady screaming, she was shocked, and suddenly I saw some people who logically got out, shouting at the driver. He hit her in the leg, her waist, she maneuvered (ed. Konstantinos Argyrou's partner) and she didn't fall down."
Regarding the Bentley driver who remains missing, the woman says that "he was not cooperative. The woman was shocked. The driver stayed there for a split second. He was not going slowly. After the accident, Mrs. Nika was sitting at the stop, the ambulance came and did not get in it."
The driver of the Bentley is being sought by the Hellenic Police. As emerged from the information collected by the police, the luxury vehicle was leased, with well-informed sources explaining that since no lawsuit has been filed for the incident, the leasing company is not obliged to provide the authorities with the details of the person who leased the vehicle.
