Athena Onassis made a rare public appearance, attending Haute Couture Week in Paris.
The 40-year-old "golden heiress", who chooses to live away from the "lights" of publicity, attended the show of French designer, Stephane Rolland, on Tuesday, December 27. The show was hosted at the historic venue of Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione.
Athena Onassis posed on the red carpet with a new brunette hair color, which had a lot of volume on top. For the occasion, she chose a black midi dress with a built-in cape and heels in the same color.

The event was a charity event, with proceeds going to the Fondation des Hôpitaux for the third consecutive year, to support at-risk adolescents. The show was also attended by the First Lady of France and president of the Foundation, Brigitte Macron.
Platon Papagiannopoulos, a model with an international career, was photographed with Athena Onassis after the show. In a post on social media and republished by him, they appear smiling.

Athena Onassis' last public appearance was in July. The 40-year-old granddaughter of Aristotle Onassis, who reportedly splits her time between a small town in the Netherlands and Belgium, attended the famed Bal d'Été, curated by Sofia Coppola, in Paris on the first Sunday of July.
Her participation in this dance event took place just four months after her reappearance in the spotlight, after a three-year absence, when she had taken part in a charity art event organized by the Friends of the Pompidou Center in France.
