Claudia returned to Greece on the evening of Sunday, May 18, with the entire Greek Eurovision 2025 delegation from Basel after winning 6th place.
Relatives and friends, who welcomed her at "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport, prepared a grand reception for her and the atmosphere was festive.
"6th place for me was truly a victory," the singer emphasized, among other things, expressing her thanks to the Greeks for their love and support.
"Guys, I don't know what to say. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn't be happier, really. It was the best experience of my life. It was the best thing I've ever done, the most rewarding thing. I'm so happy. I hope you're proud," was her first reaction.
“I really thank ERT, Panik, the children, the dancers, everything,” added Klavdia, who also referred to the Pontic Genocide Remembrance Day. “I don’t know how things came to be like this. It’s a very heavy day tomorrow for all of us, for the Pontic Greeks.”
Four countries gave the Greek song a 12, while in televoting it collected 126 votes. Greece received four 10s from Montenegro, Australia, Israel and Cyprus. Malta gave Asteromata 8 points and France 12. Greece gave its XNUMX to the unique interpretation of Luan from France. The public votes were the ones that decided the final winner of the competition. These were the ones that catapulted Israel and Estonia to the top positions, while they had a mediocre score from the juries, and they were the ones that gave the first place to the young tenor from Austria.
It is recalled that Greece had won 6th place again in 2013, with the song "Alcohol is free" performed by Agathon Iakovidis and Koza Mostra. That year, the song was also selected through a National Competition organized by ERT.
