The trial for the revenge porn case involving popular influencer Ioanna Touni begins today at the Three-Member Criminal Court of Appeal.
The evidentiary process was decided to be held behind closed doors due to the sensitive personal data, something that Ioanna Touni's side had requested, with her lawyer claiming that they would not allow the reality trial to take place.
The influencer was accompanied to court by her new partner and her best friends Stella and Lenia.
The revenge porn case
Two people are accused in the case, the complainant's then-partner, who is seen in the controversial video that was released online in 2017, as well as the person who allegedly filmed the act.
According to the indictment, the video was distributed to third parties and posted on pornographic websites. The Instagrammer had spoken publicly about the case, claiming that it caused her great moral harm.
The case had been postponed previously due to the absence of witnesses.
Touni: "I want punishment for these two people who aimed to destroy a life"
Outside the Thessaloniki Courthouse, Ioanna Touni told reporters that she expects justice to be served and the defendants to be punished, while she stated that she would like the trial to begin and not be postponed again.
"I come to court asking only for justice and nothing else. I have not asked for any monetary compensation, not even a single euro. All I want is vindication and punishment for these two people who aimed to destroy a life," he said.

"Today is a very important day for me, I'm fighting a very big fight and I want you to give me positive energy," she told her Instagram followers from the courts.
