When I came from the Congo things are difficult, friends helped us.
I did not know the language and at first I was alone at school.
There were racist comments but I ignored them. I surrounded myself with people I felt good about.
It bothered me the most, once when a child called me "black". Nobody called me that until that moment and I accepted this phrase disparagingly and I was psychologically injured.
The girl now, grew up in Cyprus, studies and wants to offer in this place.
Cyprus is my homeland.
I want to go back to see my roots. I have contacts there with relatives, but I would not return permanently.
My family faced many difficulties in terms of work. I do not know if I could leave and give up everything like my parents and identify with a new reality.
I feel like home here. I like the peace and security in Cyprus.
Priska's father was also on the set and spoke about the experience of immigration and the difficulties he overcame with the hope and vision of a new life.
Little Priska is now aiming for new dreams and wants to help children in schools through her work as a psychologist.
