According to the newspaper Real News, Konstantinos Angelidis and his wife Evelina Varsamis, issued a lawsuit asking the driver for 3 million euros in compensation, since the 44-year-old now lives in hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
The lawsuit, which will be heard on Monday in the Single-Member Court of First Instance of Athens and is revealed by the newspaper, states: "I suffered and continue to suffer physical pain, mental and physical suffering, anxiety about the future course of my health and of my permanent, lifelong and irreversible disability.
I continue to have complications from various infections or in order to carry out the necessary treatments I am forced to be constantly admitted to hospitals. I am unable to communicate even with people close to me. I am unable to support myself, since I can not even feed myself. All of the above unfavorable to my health and physical integrity happened at a very young age (only 43 years old) and in fact during the time I was at the peak of my career. I will never be able to have a normal social and family life again.
I will not be able to have meaningful communication with my wife. I will not be able to have professional development again. I have become permanently disabled with a complete inability to move, self-preservation and communication with the environment (…) I have a complete disability of my mental functions. In general, I have become a plant. "
He also asks for 2.796.000 euros, while his wife 108.000 euros for the upbringing of their 8-year-old child until he turns 22 years old.
