Kostas Martakis recently fell victim to an online scam, as a social media account was created using his name and photo, appealing for his health. More specifically, the fake profile used an older photo of the singer, in which he appears to be lying in a hospital bed. In the caption of the post, he wrote: "Please guys, you need to pray for me as I am about to go into operation».
Friends, relatives and fans of Kostas Martakis were concerned about his health, with him hastening to clarify via his personal Instagram account that the specific post is false. As he wrote: "Report, please – it's not me."
