For 16 years, Madame Figaro has been honoring and rewarding the women of Cyprus who have dared and succeeded, who have become a source of inspiration and paved the way, each in her own field. The award ceremony of Madame Figaro Women of the Year 2021, presented by Estée Lauder, took place on October 12, 2021, at the Municipal Theater of Strovolos, and will be broadcast by SIGMA TV on Thursday, October 14, at 21:10.
The night of the awards started with an impressive dance that culminated with the entrance to the stage of the glamorous Maria Bekatorou. Ivi Adamou enchanted the audience by performing great hits of great performers. The leading Greek artist Konstantinos Argyros, in a very special program, accompanied by a piano, enchanted the audience by interpreting his great successes.
Madame Figaro readers were the only and absolute judges throughout the process of nominating Women of the Year. Specifically, 33.721 readers voted and nominated the Women of the Year 2021.
The candidates
40 candidates in 8 categories: Actor, Remedica Scientist / Academician, Creator, Bank of Cyprus Innovation, Fashion & Jewelery Designer, OPAP Social Offer, Professional / Entrepreneur and Musician. The award in the Dove Athlete category was honorary this year, as due to the pandemic no sports competitions were held.
There were also four honorary awards: the Women Against Risk Special Award, the Editor's Choice Award, given each year by Madame Figaro's team, and the First Life Award in Memory of Andi Hatzikostis, which is dedicated to his inspiration and the Total Offer Award.
This year, as every year, the night was charitable, since all the proceeds from the sale of tickets, which amounted to € 7.530, were given to Ms. Tina Pavlou, who was awarded in the category OPAP Social Offer and will allocate the amount of money in the Therapeutic Community of Agia Skepi.

Women Against Risk Award - Women members of the Fire Service and volunteers of the Civil Defense
The award was presented by Konstantinos Argyros and received on behalf of the women firefighters Maria Heimona and on behalf of the Civil Defense the volunteer Chrystalla Theodorou.
Editor's Choice Honorary Award - Andri Eleftheriou
The award was presented by Barbara Georgiadou, Editor-in-Chief of Madame Figaro Cyprus, and Anastasia Papadopoulou, President of the "Foni" Council.
