Colombian pop star Shakira is at the center of allegations that she defrauded the Spanish government of €14,5 million in taxes while she lived in Barcelona between 2012 and 2014. She has rejected a plea deal, maintaining her innocence.
Barcelona has been the singer's main residence for many years, as she lived in a luxury mansion with her ex-partner Gerard Pique and their two sons, but that's not the only luxury home the singer owns.
Farm in Uruguay
In the past, Shakira shared a 12-hectare farm in the small fishing village of Faro José Ignacio in Uruguay with her ex-lawyer partner Antonio de la Rúa. It has seven bedrooms, guest house, recording studio, cinema and gym. When Shakira and Antonio split in 2010, there was a heated dispute over the farm which was available for rent until recently.
$3,4 million mansion in Miami Beach
In September 2001, Shakira bought a $3,4 million, 780-square-meter two-story mansion in Miami Beach, which has an open-plan living and dining room, six bedrooms, and eight bathrooms. The singer rented the property for $45.000 a month in 2013, before deciding to sell it for $14,95 million. To date the property has not found a buyer and its price has dropped to $12,99 million.
Private island in the Bahamas worth $15 million
In 2011, the Latin star reportedly joined forces with Pink Floyd's Roger Waters and Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz and bought a $15 million private island in the Bahamas, where they planned to build luxury hotels, apartments, studios and art galleries, creating the ultimate artist haven. Today the island is for sale.

A $5,9 million mansion in Barcelona is at the center of the pop star's current legal battle, as she is accused of defrauding the Spanish government of €14,5 million in taxes while living in Barcelona. She is reported to have declared the Bahamas as her main place of residence from 2012 to 2014, while Spanish prosecutors believe it was Spain.
The seven-bedroom luxury home is located in the Pedralbes neighborhood and has been rated as one of the best homes in the city. It covers 1.500 square meters with two kitchens, a swimming pool and a gym.
A country house in Cyprus
At the end of 2019, the former couple, Shakira and Pique, bought a newly built 800 square meter mansion in the area of Akrotiri Agios Georgios in Peyia. It has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, one room has been converted into a home cinema, a huge living room, a wine cellar, a jacuzzi, a spa, a heated pool and a large outdoor pool with gardens, overlooking the vast blue Mediterranean.
