Elias Vrettos was attacked by a patron during a live performance at a nightclub in Cyprus. A colleague of the artist confirmed the incident, stating that they experienced shocking moments.
On Friday, March 20, Elias Vrettos' colleague, Chrysa Bandeli, who sang with him on Saturday in Cyprus, spoke on the show "To Proino" and experienced the attack firsthand.
As she reported, a patron who had consumed alcohol was persistently asking for songs from Elias Vrettos and his orchestra. At one point, a musician became annoyed, resulting in the singer defending him. At that point, the artist was attacked by the patron, with his colleague reporting that he hit him in the face.
As she said: "On Saturday we had an unfortunate moment with a patron who had drunk too much. Unfortunately, when you work at night and people drink alcohol and can't control themselves 100%, some things can get out of hand. Something very shocking for an artist to have this happen while he's trying to entertain people. The customer was asking for songs and "bothering" the musicians, Elias, until he got to the point, while Elias was very kind and very patient all night, to call him out. Elias went over and what happened happened. He hit him, as Elias went over, he hit him in the face."
Then, Chrysa Bandeli added: "The people who have faces there to make sure that nothing happens on stage were unable to do anything. It happened so quickly. Suddenly the program ended and there was chaos at that time, we were all trying to understand what had happened. Elias left the store very shocked and himself with what had happened. It was the first time something like this had happened. Elias is very loved in Cyprus. What I saw was a redness on his cheek and in his eye. It was very bad what happened for everyone."
Elias Vrettos spoke on camera on the same show, talking about an unfortunate incident, adding that he is in good health: "There was indeed an unfortunate incident, but I don't want to go into details. I am fine and we are moving on. We are singers and we do our job, but I don't want to dwell on them. Difficult and strange incidents also happen that we have to manage. Let's move on."
