The biographer of Vassilis Karras, Thanos Kanousis, revealed some unknown stories of the life of the popular singer, who passed away on December 24, 2023.
Among other things, he told the show "Fay's Time" about the last note left by the late artist to his beloved wife, Christina. As Thanos Kanousis reported: "When he came out of intensive care, I was given a note, and they told me 'you will put it in the biography' when he is gone." The note was addressed to his wife and said: "Christina, on this trip I will not take you with me, stay behind to help people, you have a way, that's why I love you".
Thanos Kanousis in the same interview said: "Vassilis Karras had studied at the Drama School and got a scholarship to study in France, but he didn't go because firstly he had to learn French and secondly he had to stay behind to help the family", while he emphasized the his great charity action: "When he helped in charities he made it a condition that it would not be known who was helping. When he was staying in Kavouri one night on his way back from the center where he was singing, he put all the night's wages in the hood of a homeless man who lived near his hotel.
His biographer also revealed that Vassilis Karras, despite his pain, never lost hope: "When he came out of intensive care, he told me to talk about cancer. He was in a lot of pain, but he didn't lose his smile, he believed that he would beat cancer."
