The first semi-final of the 68th Eurovision has been completed, with Cyprus advancing to Saturday's grand final.

Silia Kapsis impressed on stage with the song "Liar", while Croatian Baby Lasagna stole the show with "Rim Tim Tagi Dim", which is also considered the favorite of this year's competition.

Of the 15 countries that participated in the first semi-final, the following 10 qualified:

3. Slovenia / Raiven – Veronika
4. Ukraine / a. alyona & J. Heil – Teresa & Maria
5. Lithuania / Silvester Belt – Luktelk
6. Finland / Windows95man – No Rules!
7. Cyprus / Silia Kapsis – Liar
8. Croatia / Baby Lasagna – Rim Tim Tagi Dim
9. Ireland / Bambie Thug – Doomsday Blue
10. Luxembourg / Tali – Fighter

The 5 countries that did not make it to the final are:

1. Poland / Luna – The Tower
2. Iceland / Hera Björk – Scared of Heights
3. Azerbaijan / Fahree & I. Dovlatov – Özünlə Apar

4. Australia / Electric Fields – One Milkali
5. Moldova / Natalia Barbu – In the Middle

It is recalled that last year's winner (Sweden) and the Big-5 countries (Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) automatically qualify for the grand final on May 11. The second semi-final will take place on Thursday, May 9, with Marina Satti representing Greece with the song "Zari".
