Cinta Tort Catró, also known as Zinteta, is a 21-year-old artist from Barcelona, who uses her talent in bodypainting to break down the beauty standards that want a woman to be flawless, giving color to her and other women's stretch marks. .
"I did not always feel comfortable with my period and my stretch marks. "In general, I did not always feel safe with my body," she says talking to popsugar, clarifying that it was precisely her uncomfortable and indebted past that inspired her to grab her brush and create in what was once her insecurity.
"Over the years and after a personal struggle, I realized that if I do not accept anything that has to do with my body, hair or stretch marks then I will not accept myself," he adds. All of Zinteta's creations, which she calls "artivism" (from the words art = art + activism = activism), have a feminist and anti-racist content, in her attempt to eliminate injustices in the way women are treated over time.
As for the stretch marks that he turns into a rainbow, he states that in this way he wants to show that all bodies are worth the same. "For me, it is important for people to understand that we are all different, our bodies are different but everyone is beautiful, each in his own way.
