Survivor player seriously injured – "He is not in a condition to be transported," says Georgiadis

According to information, the Greek player has suffered a partial amputation.

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis spoke on Tuesday morning about the "very serious injury" of the Greek Survivor player who was hit by a speedboat while snorkeling.

As he told ANT1 about the Greek player on the SKAI reality show, "he is not in a condition to be transferred." He added, however, "if the relatives request it, the National Health Service will do it, we leave no one behind."

According to information, the Greek player has suffered a partial amputation of his left leg and a serious injury to his right ankle.

According to the latest statement from AcunMedya regarding the serious accident in Santo Domingo, the incident occurred outside the competition process of the reality show. Regarding the player's condition, the production company states that he "remains in the hospital in a serious but stable condition out of danger."

"Following our initial announcement regarding the serious accident that a Survivor player had in Santo Domingo, and with a sense of responsibility towards public opinion but primarily towards the player himself, we deem it necessary to provide clarification regarding the exact circumstances under which the incident occurred.

According to the information so far, the accident reportedly took place when a tourist boat injured the player, who was spearfishing outside of the reality show's competition process.

From the very beginning, there was immediate mobilization to provide assistance and safely transport the injured person, while the competent port authorities are investigating the causes of the incident in order to fully ascertain the circumstances.

The player remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition out of danger.

"With respect to the injured person and his family, we ask for responsibility and to avoid reproducing inaccurate information until the official investigation is completed. We are committed to promptly informing you regarding the development and clarification of the incident."

The Greek player suffered serious injuries from the propellers of the boat's outboard motors.
According to local media cdn.com.do, the serious accident occurred off the island of Saona in the Dominican Republic, when a tourist boat hit a Greek Survivor player, causing him serious injuries. The incident occurred in the area where the SKAI survival reality show is filmed, while authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

In a statement, the Dominican Republic Navy said that the vessel named "Adrien III" returned to the Bayahibe shipyard on Sunday morning, after the accident that occurred off the island of Saona.

As reported by the boat's captain, Walker Nathan Polanco Morales, the boat was heading towards Saona Island as part of a tourist excursion, when it accidentally hit the Greek Survivor player who was diving in the area.
