Stelios Koudounaris referred to the negative criticism he has received from time to time, stating that he has also been characterized negatively for his career as a fashion designer, due to his presence on television.
Stelios Koudounaris admitted that he has heard negative comments about himself from a few people who work in the television industry, whom he emphasized, he does not appreciate.
Speaking on the show "Randevou to SK", the fashion designer initially commented: "I have heard bad things about me on television from 1-2 people who I don't appreciate. I have been judged as not being a serious designer because I appear on television. Being judged by people without collections, why should I care?"

Stelios Koudounaris then added that negative criticism does not really reflect the person receiving it, but the person making it: "Negative comments have nothing to do with the image someone sees. They have nothing to do with the person commenting behind a keyboard. They don't go into the process thinking that those who comment will read them and be upset."
