The hope that yesterday's constructive meeting, which they had with the Minister of Health, in the presence of the General Director of the Ministry of Health, to resolve the labor dispute will be effective, is expressed by the trade unions of public doctors PASYKI and PASYDY, who say that for the doctors of Public Hospitals, the strike was "never an end in itself", but they were forced into it.
In their statement, the unions state that "the strike was conducted in an organized and professional manner, sending a strong and clear message that doctors do not tolerate the breach of agreements nor the systematic degradation of their work".
Focusing on yesterday's meeting of the Parliamentary Health Committee, the unions report that "the doctors were vindicated, as the submission and existence of the second part of the study by the independent financial analyst is now recorded in the most official way".
"The concealment of the second part of the study from the public, as well as the systematic effort on the part of OKYpY to initially eliminate it and then to downgrade it, alongside the aim to undermine the honesty and integrity of the representatives of the Guilds, ultimately failed ", they report.
Finally, they express their thanks to the President and the members of the Parliamentary Health Committee, for their involvement and sincere effort to resolve the issue and note that as it has been made public "they requested in writing that the complete study of the independent financial analyst be delivered today".
