Without problems at the General Hospitals of Larnaca and Famagusta, the 48-hour strike of the doctors, which started at 07.30 this morning, continues.
Information from the KYPE states that in the General Hospital of Famagusta and also in the General Hospital of Larnaca, there are doctors who did not follow the instructions of the Unions and are not on strike.
Some clinics in the two public hospitals are operating while some others are operating with security personnel.
In the two hospitals, the Accident and Emergency Departments operate with security personnel and the doctors who are not on strike, proceed to categorize the incidents that exist and then the appropriate handling is done depending on each case.
It is noted that both in the province of Larnaca and in the province of Famagusta there are private hospitals which are contracted with the NHS, however their TAEP have not been entered into the General Health System.
It is recalled that due to the 48-hour doctors' strike, scheduled surgeries and appointments at the two hospitals have been canceled and either rescheduled or patients will be given a new date.
