At 9:30 am the meeting of the Minister of Health, Michalis Damianou with the president of PASYKI Sotiris Koumas and with the president of the medical branch of PASYDY Moses Lambrou is scheduled. It is noted that the 48-hour strike mobilization of OKYPY doctors ends today at 7:30 am.
In his statements yesterday afternoon, the Minister of Health had said that decisions should be taken collectively and that the strike should have been avoided, as the difference between the two sides is small.
He added that the 2020 agreement contained many ambiguities in the first steps of the NHS, stressing that a new agreement is needed for the 2025-2027 period, with a new incentive plan and integration of the amounts for the 2023-2024 period, as indicated by the Audit Service.
