On Sunday, November 25, 2018, the 19th District Conference of EDON Famagusta took place, where the last three years were reviewed, while the goals for the next one were set.
The Conference was attended by representatives from all the Local Organizations of the province presenting their own views. The District Secretary of AKEL Famagusta Chrysanthos Zannetos and the EDONopoulos of Famagusta gave a greeting. The Conference unanimously adopted a Resolution on the problems of the Famagusta Free Zone, a Resolution on Refugee Policy and a Resolution on Turkish Cypriot Youth. Also awarded were the Local Organizations that this year managed to meet their goal in the Organizational Excursion, as well as the Local Organizations that managed to organize the most new members in the ranks of EDON.
The 19th District Conference of EDON Famagusta was completed with the election of the new District Council, which consists of the following competitors: Abraham Andreas, Athinodorou Nikolas, Valanidis Michalis, Vrachimi Argyro, Panagina Errila, Georgiou Ermolika Kalomla, Georgiou Ermolika Kaloulla Koumbarou Chryso, Londou Andreas, Michail Loukia, Bei Paschalis, Nikolaou Alexis, Panagiotou Andreas, Perikli Konstantinos, Tsalakou Georgia, Tsialis Zannetos, Charalambous Christoforos, Hiras Andreas, Christou Giota.
The new District Council of EDON Famagusta, met at its first Session on Monday, December 10, 2018, where it unanimously elected Christoforos Charalambous to the position of District Secretary. He also elected the new District Secretariat, which consists of the competitors: Abraham Andreas, Dimitriou Marilena, Bei Paschalis, Panagiotou Andreas, Tsialis Zannetos, Christoforos Charalambous, Christos Giota, Christou Maria.
