An announcement was issued by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Famagusta Tourist, Commercial and Industrial Company on the occasion of yesterday's announcement of the CCCI in which the Chamber criticized the Mayor of Paralimni for his public statements and statements about the marginalization of the free province.
In its announcement, TEVEA states that it is making the announcement as the only and recognized voice of the businessmen of the province of Famagusta, which represents, as mentioned, 450 of its members and all without exception the Mayors and Common Mayors of free Famagusta.
The organized businessmen express their full support to the positions of the Mayor of Paralimni for the marginalization of the province of Famagusta, while finally expressing the readiness that the State and the competent bodies will remove the injustice and correct, as they report, the distortion, according to which businessmen in the province of Famagusta are excluded from all decision-making centers.

The Tourist Commercial and Industrial Company of Famagusta (TEVEA) as the only recognized voice of the Entrepreneurs of the Province of Famagusta, representing its 450 members and all the Mayors and Common Mayors of the Province of Famagusta, announces the following in writing: CCCI that contradicts the public positions of the Mayor of Paralimni Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis:
- We welcome the corrective announcement of the CCCI according to which he admits that Mr. Pyrillis is not a partner with a specific businessman who participated in recent business missions of the State.
- It is clarified that the specific businessman did not participate in these business missions as a member of the CCCI, but as a member of transnational associations.
- In view of what has come to light in recent days, from the positions of the Mayor of Paralimni for the marginalization of the Province of Famagusta, as organized businessmen, we express our full support for his positions.
We still expect from the State and the competent bodies, the removal of the injustice and the correction of the distortion, according to which the Entrepreneurs of the mutilated Province of Famagusta, are excluded from all decision-making centers.
