The contracts for the two projects to be carried out in the Municipal District of Achna, Municipality of Ayia Napa, were signed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, between the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettos, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Achna - Municipality of Ayia Napa, Mr. Nikos Vasilas, and the Director/Owner of the contractor Company "Stavros Andronikou & Son (Construction Ltd)" Mr. Antonis Andronikou.
These are the projects:
1. Roundabout Beautification
In this project, the construction company will proceed with the landscaping of the roundabout and the reopening of the fountains. Its total cost amounts to 71.997,00 euros incl. VAT.
2. Construction of a Playground in the Community Library area
Regarding this project, the area will be landscaped and enriched with games, which will comply with the appropriate standards. Its total cost amounts to 65.637,40 euros incl. VAT.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, initially thanked the Famagusta District Governor, Mr. George Chrysafinis, for the initiative and for the actions he has taken, so that the projects are currently on track for implementation, as well as the Ministry of Interior.
He assured that the Municipality will continue to implement small and large projects throughout the territory of the new Municipality, which will contribute to the progress, the development of all Municipal Districts, but also to the upgrading of the quality of life of all residents and visitors.
