It smelled like Christmas in the Municipal District of Achnas of the Municipality of Ayia Napa since the Christmas decorations were recently lit in the Community Square as part of a nice lighting ceremony.
The button to light up the festive decorations was pressed by the Deputy Mayor Mr. Nikos Vasilas urging everyone present to count down with him from ten to zero. Mr. Vasilas wished everyone a "Merry Christmas" and to celebrate next year this great celebration of Christianity in their beloved Achna.
Young and old enjoyed the musical entertainment with Christmas carols, face painting, horse rides, taking pictures, playing with the cute mascots and getting their presents from Santa Claus.
