For the second time in about two months, the Turkish army set fire to the area of Achna. Specifically, from noon on Monday, a fire front is raging northwest of the occupied Achna, which is estimated at about two kilometers.
According to residents of the Achna Forest and found by Philenews, along with the fire front, armed Turkish soldiers have been deployed, who are preventing the fire trucks of the British bases in Dhekelia from intervening and dealing with the situation.
Dozens of residents of the community have gathered on the old road Larnaca - Famagusta, opposite the front of the fire, ready to face it if it crosses the road, so as not to endanger the Achna Forest.
