Mr. Vassilas stated that "after the identification of a student, who attends the Primary School in Dasaki Achnas, positive for the coronavirus, the classroom and the other areas of the school where she was trafficked were disinfected. "Both the teachers and the student's classmates were instructed not to go to school and to remain in self-restraint, while the rest of the school today is operating normally."
He added that "there is great concern in the Community as the schoolgirl is a tertiary infection, while many cases are recorded that are secondary and even quaternary infections." The situation "has now escaped from the football team of Ethnikos Achnas and is dangerous," he said, noting that "logically, repeated coronavirus tests should be performed in a few days on all residents of the Community".
Answering a relevant question, the Common Leader said that "after the detection of positive cases in the coronavirus in Ethnikos Achnas and following instructions from the Ministry of Health, a total of 552 tests were performed last Monday and Tuesday. "The people of Achna were willing to undergo the test, while laboratory tests could be performed on many more people within the Community."
He added that despite the fact that the coronavirus pandemic now exists in the Community, having entered schools, however, there are some "pseudo-men" who were not tested while they had to do it. Still, "we have people who do not declare their contacts in order to be tracked in order to be able to control the situation," he noted.
He added that "in case there are other cases of coronavirus then the Ministry of Health and the epidemiological team will be asked to perform tests on all residents of Achna. "Normally, the people of the Community should be subjected to a repeated sampling test in a few days," he said. .
Nikos Vassilas also addressed "an appeal to the KOP to postpone the football match between Ethnikos Achnas and Apollon, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 3, at Tsirio Stadium. "More than 30 people, footballers and members of the team are positive for the coronavirus, including all three goalkeepers, with the result that there is no person to play in this position."
