A unique architectural church is built in the province of Famagusta.
Specifically, the church of Agios Dimitrianos in Dasaki of Achna has the shape of a tent.
A relevant tribute to the church was hosted by the newspaper City Free Press
Its symbolic character refers to the tents set up during the Turkish invasion of the Forest of Achna, where the refugees from the occupied Achna, Famagusta and the surrounding villages were hosted.
Inside the temple are sculptures depicting the drama of the refugee.
Agios Dimitrianos is the protector of the refugees and celebrates every year on November 6.
