He added that "in the coming days there will be some developments between the three entities to promote this consensus. We will also proceed with meetings with the political parties to make sure, if possible, for the consent of the Municipalities of Ayia Napa and Sotira and the Community of Liopetri ".

Besides, the deputy mayor of Liopetri, Vassos Manolis, answering a relevant question, said that "surely the Municipality we are avoiding, not that we have something with it, is Paralimni" explaining that the creation of a Municipality in the free province of Famagusta means "that Paralimni will produce about 7 - 8 Municipal Councilors out of the 9 in total that will exist ".

After saying that he sees even further, he wondered "after ten, twenty or even thirty years, how many thousands of inhabitants Paralimni will have and how many Municipal Councilors it will produce".

He continued "it is an issue that I am constantly thinking about and I consider it more correct and more logical to create a Municipality consisting of the Municipalities of Ayia Napa and Sotira and the Community of Liopetri" since, as he explained "almost all Liopetrites have shops and work in Ayia Napa, while with Sotira we are very loved and we estimate that this union will be better for everyone ".
