The Epitaph service at Saint George Exorinos is canceled, according to the Municipality of Famagusta, since so far, no official response has been received regarding obtaining permission.

Such is the announcement

It is announced that, so far, no official response has been received regarding obtaining permission to hold the Epitaph Service at Saint George the Exorcist in Famagusta, despite efforts made for over a month.
Therefore, it is now impossible to hold the Service.
At the same time, the flowers that had been secured will be donated to a church in the community of Vrysoullon, following consultation with the Metropolis of Constantia and Famagusta.
With feelings of sadness for the non-performance of the Epitaph Service at Saint George the Exile, but also with the faith and hope conveyed by the message of the Holy Days, we wish all the citizens of Famagusta a Happy Easter and a Happy Resurrection. May the light of the Resurrection bring strength, comfort and the expectation that soon we will be able to honor our traditions and faith in our land together again.
