A delegation of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia paid an official visit to the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Famagusta last week. The Armenian MPs were welcomed by the Mayor of Famagusta, Dr. Simos Ioannou accompanied by the Deputy Mayor Mr. Chrysanthos Zannetou and the President of the Cultural Center Mr. Dino Toumazi.
The five-member delegation of the Armenia-Cyprus Friendship Group (Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee) at the Armenian Parliament was informed about the developments in Famagusta and the efforts of the Municipality for return, freedom and reunification.
For his part, the President of the Group Mr. Hayk Konjoryan expressed his solidarity in the struggle of the people of Famagusta. At the same time, the developments in Armenia and the long-term relations between Cyprus and Armenia were discussed.
