The Municipality of Famagusta is holding an open session on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11:00 am. at the Cultural Center.

As the 14th of this August marks fifty years of Turkish occupation of our city, fifty years of our refugee status, the Municipal Council of Famagusta invites you to an open session that will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11:00 am. at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Famagusta in Deryneia.
The session will be preceded by a one-minute silence for the people of Famagusta who fell fighting for the defense of our homeland, but also for all our fellow citizens who died in the refugee camp. The open meeting will follow with a presentation of the positions of the Municipal Council by the Mayor of Famagusta and positions from those present.
We are already 50 years away from our city. We continue faithful to the duty of return, freedom and peace, for ourselves and our children, for the future of Cyprus.
